- A trial in the lawsuit over the $4.9 billion dollar EMI buyout is underway in New York federal court. David Boies presented his opening arguments that Citigroup “duped” his client Terra Firma Capital Partners by saying there were other bidders for the troubled music company and that the the investment group needed to raise its bid. - Cablevision offered to put its dispute with Fox over a carriage fee disagreement to binding arbitration, but was rebuffed by Fox. Also interesting: Fox isn’t using any outside counsel on this matter. [AmLaw Daily]
