Katherine Heigl has admitted she has an image problem.
In an interview Thursday for her new film “Life as We Know It,” currently in theaters, a recent New York Times
profile analyzing the actress’ negative public perception was brought up.
The question is: Does Heigl agree?
“Yeah, I think that was fair. It’s something that I’ve spent a lot of time the past year or so really thinking about and really trying to figure out,” the actress
told Los Angeles station KTLA. “Obviously my career’s important to me and I’m really, really passionate about trying to keep it.”
“I don’t want to be the person digging my own grave,” she added.
Heigl has found herself in hot water several times, especially when she openly criticized the writing on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“Nothing I said [in the N.Y. Times article] was particularly scandalous. It just had a tone. And I think that’s the most important thing that I’ve learned as I get older and grow up a little bit and get a little less defensive and a little more settled in my own skin — and I don’t feel like I have to defend myself so much or defend my choices or this or that,” Heigl said.
