The Los Angeles County Bar Association honored the Screen Actors Guild’s Duncan Crabtree-Ireland last weekend with the organization’s 2011 Charles R. English Spirit Award. The award is given annually “in recognition of being an inspiration to” the bar “and promoting its interests.” Crabtree-Ireland is the guild’s deputy national executive director and general counsel. He was presented with the award Sept. 17 aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif.
SAG national executive director David White attended the ceremony. “I find Duncan to be an inspiring character, and we are all proud of the service he provides to the legal profession and to this state,” White said in a written statement.
