Brooke Langton, who recurred on the NBC/Universal Media Studios drama “Friday Night Lights,” has been tapped to co-star on the upcoming drama series “Life,” also for NBC and UMS.
Meanwhile, Glenn Morshower and Daniella Alonso have joined “Lights” as recurring.
“Life” centers on a falsely imprisoned cop (Damian Lewis) who rejoins the force as a changed man. Langton will play the lawyer who got him out of prison. There is a spark between the two despite the fact that she is married.
Langton replaces Melissa Sagemiller, who played the part in the pilot.
Langton, who next will be seen in the feature “The Kingdom” — directed by “Lights” executive producer Peter Berg — is repped by the Gersh Agency.
On the critically praised “Lights,” which returns for a second season in the fall, Morshower will play Chad Clarke, a former state champion Panther-turned-local cop and father of Landry Clarke (Jesse Plemons). Alonso will play Carlotta, a no-nonsense in-home nurse who helps Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) care for his grandmother, who has Alzheimer’s.
Morshower, whose recent credits include “Transformers” and Fox’s “24,” is repped by Stone Manners Agency.
Alonso, whose credits include “The Hills Have Eyes 2” and the series “One Tree Hill,” is repped by Gersh and manager Lena Roklin.
