CNBC has moved to lock up one of its biggest stars for the long term.
Jim Cramer, who hosts “Mad Money With Jim Cramer” weeknights on the business channel, signed a long-term deal to stay with the network. Terms of the deal weren’t announced.
Cramer has been a big part of CNBC for several years, most notably in March 2005 and beyond with the launch of “Mad Money,” which CNBC president Mark Hoffman noted was “an integral part of CNBC’s rebirth.” He also will keep the “Stop Trading” segment of CNBC’s midafternoon “Street Signs” as well as write for madmoney.cnbc.com.
Kramer is a best-selling author as well as a 25-year veteran as a trader and hedge fund manager and co-founded theStreet.com.
