TORONTO — Singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette is being inducted into the Canadian music industry’s Hall of Fame, organizers said Monday.
Morissette will receive the lifetime achievement award March 7 as part of the Canadian Radio Music Awards that will be held during Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
Ottawa-born Morissette will join past inductees, including record producer David Foster, singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot and music groups Triumph and Rush.
Canadian Music Week organizers earlier announced that Nettwerk Music Group CEO Terry McBride and TV producer John Brunton (Canadian Idol) also will be inducted into the Canadian music industry’s Hall of Fame as part of the Canadian Music Industry Awards on March 6.
