HONG KONG — MTV will broadcast in the Beijing Olympic Village starting June 24 over private networks, the Viacom unit’s China office said Tuesday.
MTV Networks China was granted landing rights before and during the August 8-24 event from the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee.
The shows “100 MTV Ways to Rock the Olympic Games,” and Beijing-focused edition of “MTV Burr” will feature in the broadcasts to the Olympic Village and on MTV’s 24-hour channel in southern China’s Guangdong province.
The Olympic Village is expected to draw about 43,000 broadcasters, journalists, and organizing staff, Games organizers have said.
