Neil Patrick Harris will direct his first musical this fall.
The “How I Met Your Mother” star is directing the premiere of “Rent” at the Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 6-8.
The deal marks Harris’ directorial debut of a musical, one that he has experience with. Harris starred in the L.A. production of “Rent” in 1997, for which he won a Drama League Award.
