Michael B. Seligman, who has been a producer on more than 300 awards shows, including the Oscars, Emmys and the Kennedy Center Honors, has formed Seligman Entertainment, an event services consultancy intended to raise the visibility of consumer brands, corporations and nonprofits worldwide.
On Thursday, Seligman, who is currently working as supervising producer of this years Academy Awards, announced an agreement with Chrysler Corporations to produce its dealers meeting in September in Las Vegas.
“With our unparalleled passion for our work,” said Seligman, “we have achieved a reputation for producing extremely high quality and enormously popular global televised events that have become staples of American culture.”
Other events Seligman produced or is producing include NBC’s national affiliates convention, NBC’s Sydney 2000 Olympics Gateway venue and the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show.
Seligman has worked on the Oscars for 38 years and has done the Primetime Emmys for 17 years in roles including executive producer, supervising producer and associate producer.
Other credits include Stand Up For Cancer, CBS at 75, The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and presidential galas and inaugurations for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
