PARIS — Publicis Worldwide CEO Richard Pinder will kick off the MIPCOM discussion with an advertising keynote address titled “Contagious Ideas that Change the Conversation” in Cannes on Oct. 5, organizers Reed MIDEM said Thursday.
Pinder’s speech will be part of MIPCOM’s “Rethinking your Business” program that will focus on how content providers and advertising agencies can work together for future business opportunities.
Public Worldwide boasts 9,000 employees in more than 80 markets.
Pinder was appointed CEO in May after serving as the company’s COO since 2006 and a long run at the Publicis Group starting in 2002 and a more than 20-year career in advertising.
“For the last 15 years I have not needed to know anyone in television nor them me, but in this brave new world, content providers need advertising agencies just as much as agencies need content providers,” Pinder said.
The MIPCOM market runs Oct. 5-9 in Cannes.
