An Illinois man is claiming that Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” violated his publicity rights and caused him emotional distress by depicting him as a humiliated suitor without his consent.
According to the lawsuit filed in Illinois county court, George Page participated in a speed dating event last May. The show’s producers asked him if he would consent to be filmed as part of the show. Page said he didn’t give consent and that producers assured him that any footage of him would not be aired.
Nevertheless, Page claims he showed up and was mocked in the episode. Page unsuccessfully tried to woo star Sheree Whitfield by telling a corny joke.
