Brand-new branding hires
Abrams has hired agents Maxwell Mitcheson and Henry Gordon to its alternative programming, digital media, licensing and branding division.
Los Angeles-based Mitcheson most recently worked in brand partnerships at Awesomeness TV, helping it scale to acquisition (as he did with AdTech’s Naritiv, which was acquired by Hootsuite). He began his career at ICM Partners and worked in that agency’s global branded entertainment group.
Related Stories
New York-based Gordon, a former assistant on Abrams’ digital team, is returning to the agency to focus on its growing esports and gaming vertical, helping players and streamers in team deals and branding and marketing initiatives.
Publicity on demand
ZTPR president Zack Teperman and JMG Public Relations president Jenna Guarneri have teamed to launch Medya, a new service that seeks to connect anyone seeking media exposure to a publicist to help them secure media placement according to their desired budget.
“Some people just want a quick media placement to generate some buzz and cannot afford an entire PR campaign that could take months or even years, and cost thousands of dollars,” Teperman said in a statement. “We want people to be able to get their stories told and get exposure on their own budget.”
Added Guarneri in a statement, “Whether you are an actor needing exposure about your new role or an independent film needing that big article break to entice some investors or distributors, Medya can do all that for you, plus more.”
Others on the dotted line
New York-based law firm Feldman, Golinski, Reedy + Ben-Zvi, whose entertainment law clients include financiers, artists and indie film, TV and Broadway projects, has hired Jonathan E. Rebell. The Penn and GW Law grad focuses on digital media and technology law, spending more than 13 years as in-house counsel for companies including NBCUniversal, Viacom and Experian Marketing Services.
Chrome PR has signed pop/dance artist Jaki Nelson, whose song “Dancing With Strangers” is a Top 10 single on Billboard‘s Dance Club Songs chart, following “Uh Oh.”
