German indie producer and distributor Senator Entertainment has had a rough year.
2014 figures, released May 4, show sales at the Berlin-based group fell around a quarter to $23 million (€20.4 million) as the company tries to restructure.
Senator booked an operating loss of $14 million (€12.6 million) for the year, around half of what it lost in 2013, when major write-downs on film assets hurt the company’s bottom line.
French group Wild Bunch has merged its German operations with Senator and is in the process of combining the two operations.
