LONDON — FremantleMedia has upped Rob Clark to the newly created post of president of worldwide entertainment, overseeing the global roll-out of all Fremantle’s developed and acquired non-scripted formats as well as the acquisition of third party entertainment formats.
In the new post Clark, previously svp of entertainment and production, will retain oversight of FremantleMedia’s global entertainment development network, which makes such shows as “Got Talent,” “The X Factor, and “The Farmer Wants a Wife.”
“Rob and his team have done a terrific job in helping our network of production companies bring inspiring entertainment to dozens of countries around the world,” said FremantleMedia CEO Tony Cohen.
“Rob has played a significant part in turning FremantleMedia into the leading, creative production and distribution company that it is today, and I’m delighted that he will be taking up this new position.”
A seasoned entertainment exec, Clark joined Fremantle in 2003 after holding senior positions at Scottish Media Group and Princess Productions, working on a range of primetime entertainment shows including “Don’t Try This at Home” and “Surprise Surprise.”
