PARIS — Jean Rochefort has found a gig as president of the 33rd Cesar Awards ceremony, France’s Academy of Film Arts and Sciences said Thursday.
The French actor, who has appeared in more than 100 movies, won the best supporting actor Cesar in 1976 for “Que la fete commence” and the best actor prize in 1978 for “Le Crabe-tambour.”
Rochefort, who appeared in Guillaume Canet’s Cesar-winning “Tell No One” last year, stars in Guillaume Nicloux’s “The Key,” currently playing on Gallic screens, and can next be seen in Samuel Benchetrit’s Sundance selection “I’ve Always Dreamed of Being a Gangster.”
The Cesar Awards are set for Feb. 22 at Paris’ Chatelet Theater. Nominees will be announced Jan. 25.
