Kung Fu Panda 3 stayed atop the Russian box office in its second outing, although it was a slow weekend overall for the threequel and other films.
The latest installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise took in 200.7 million rubles ($2.8 million) for a cume of $9.2 million, according to data from research company Movie Research.
The Finest Hours debuted in second place. Craig Gillespie’s action drama starring Casey Affleck collected $1.7 million.
Local movie 30 svidaniy (30 Dates) followed at No. 3. Tatiana Kapitan’s dramedy grossed $711,000.
Dirty Grandpa slipped two spots to fourth place. Dan Mazer’s comedy starring Robert De Niro added $435,000 for a cume of $3.3 million.
Fifty Shades of Black opened at No. 5 with $357,000.
Overall, with total box-office revenue of just over $6.3 million, the weekend turned out to be the lowest-grossing frame in more than two months.
