Michael Rapaport is set to co-star in ABC’s drama pilot “The Line,” and Will Estes and Bridget Moynahan have joined CBS’ untitled Burgess/Green drama pilot.
Additionally, “FlashForward” co-star Zachary Knighton has been tapped as the male lead in ABC’s comedy pilot “Happy Endings,” Amy Landecker has landed the female lead opposite Paul Reiser in his autobiographical comedy pilot “Next” for NBC, Kurt Fuller has joined ABC’s untitled Shana Goldberg-Meehan comedy pilot and Kevin Rahm has been added to CBS’ comedy pilot “Open Books.”
“Line” centers on an ATF agent (Dylan Walsh) who hunts down the most dangerous criminals. Rapaport, repped by Paradigm and Brillstein, will play a SWAT commander.
The Burgess/Green project is a multigenerational drama revolving around a family of New York cops: the ex-police chief (Len Cariou); his son, Michael (Tom Selleck), the current chief of police; and grandsons Brian (Donnie Wahlberg) and Jamie (Estes), both cops. Moynahan, repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment, will play the daughter in the family, a single mother who is the city’s assistant district attorney.
Estes is repped by Paradigm and Alchemy.
“Endings” revolves around a bride (Elisha Cuthbert) and groom (Knighton) who, after breaking up at the altar, must figure out how they and their four friends can maintain their relationship.
For Knighton, the role is in second position to ABC’s “FlashForward,” whose chances for renewal are slim.
“Next” stars Reiser as a former television star and family man dealing with life’s day-to-day conundrums. Landecker, repped by Henderson/Hogan and Stern Entertainment, plays his loving and supportive wife.
The untitled Goldberg-Meehan comedy revolves around two sisters (Jennifer Finnigan, Joanna Garcia) at different stages in their romantic relationships.
Fuller, repped by APA and manager Rick Ax, will play their father.
“Books” centers on June (Laura Benanti), a book editor at a boutique New York publishing house.
Rahm (“Desperate Housewives”), repped by Gersh and Forward, will play her level-headed fiance.
