Former agent and film producer Stacey Lubliner has joined Gotham Group as a manager.
The appointment, effective immediately, was announced Wednesday by Gotham Group founder and CEO Ellen Goldsmith-Vein. “I’m thrilled that Stacey is bringing her talent, discerning taste in material and extensive relationships to the Gotham Group,” said Goldsmith?Vein.
Lubliner started her career as a motion picture literary agent at ICM. She then segued to Lime Orchard Prods., a company she co-founded and where she had success on multiple projects, most notably producing the critically acclaimed drama A Better Life. The Chris Weitz-directed film landed star Demian Bichir a best actor Oscar nomination.
“I have known Ellen both professionally and personally for many years, and I’m so excited to join her amazing team,” said Lubliner of making the move back to representation.
During her tenure at ICM, Lubliner repped writers, directors and authors including such successful names as Chris Terrio, David Gordon Green, Julian Fellowes, Sara Parriott, Josie McGibbon, Jill Kargman, Michael Bacall, Jordan Roberts, Emily Fox, Chris Keyser, Brandon Sonnier and writing partners Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky.
Gotham Group is a diversified management and production company. Goldsmith-Vein and her company have produced such projects as The Spiderwick Chronicles and the Maze Runner franchise. Gotham also is producing Kodachrome, starring Jason Sudeikis and Elizabeth Olsen, and Stephanie, directed by Akiva Goldsman.
