TORONTO — Imax Corp. on Wednesday said it generated $145 million in boxoffice receipts in 2007 for supersized Hollywood releases, up 56% from a year-earlier take of $93 million.
Among the studio titles released last year was Warner Bros. Pictures’ “300,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “I Am Legend,” and Sony’s “Spider-Man 3.”
Upcoming movies from Toronto-based Imax includes “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” “Shine A Light,” “Kung Fu Panda” and “The Dark Knight.”
