The Hollywood Reporter has been named Presenting Partner of 3DX: 3D Film & Entertainment Technology Festival, the first-ever fest dedicated to stereoscopic 3-D.
The Singapore-based 3DX Festival is scheduled for Nov.19–23.
During the event, Eric Mika, Nielsen Business Media’s Entertainment Group vp and THR publisher, will present a 3-D outlook analysis developed by THR Intelligence. Launched earlier this month, THR Intelligence is a customized data analysis service that was created to meet an increased demand for tailored data collection and extrapolation. The service draws upon THR parent company Nielsen to provide quantitative and qualitative data to clients.
“The Hollywood Reporter’s THR Intelligence has the unique ability to analyze trends and develop information that will be a powerful resource for the various stakeholders attending 3DX in November,” 3DX executive producer Jim Chabin said.
Other keynoters include Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman-CEO Jim Gianopulos, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, and film director James Cameron. MPAA chairman Dan Glickman will provide an industry update to the exhibitors, producers and technology decision makers in attendance.
“We are delighted to have Nielsen’s news and information assets selected to participate in this important growth platform,” Gerry Byrne, Nielsen Business Media’s Entertainment Group sr. vp said.
The festival is produced by Chabin Partners in Los Angeles and hosted by the Media Development Authority of Singapore.
