Former ABC News anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have launched a new podcast in partnership with iHeartMedia.
The podcast, titled Amy & T.J., will see the two in conversation about current events, pop culture and more. In addition to hosting and executive producing the podcast, Robach and Holmes will also work on a full slate of upcoming programming at iHeartPodcasts.
The news comes after Robach and Holmes left ABC News in January 2023 after their romantic relationship became public and ABC conducted an investigation into whether it violated internal policies. The two, who had been married to other partners, had been pulled from the air in December 2022, as the network decided on next steps.
This is their first big project since leaving the company, and iHeartMedia says the podcast will be “the first time Robach and Holmes speak publicly since their own names became a part of the headlines,” while adding, “Nothing is off limits.”
Holmes had been with ABC News since 2014 and co-anchored GMA3, the afternoon spinoff of Good Morning America, since 2020. Robach joined ABC News in 2012, and had also been with GMA3 in 2020.
Before joining ABC News, Holmes had previously worked at CNN, BET and MSNBC, while Robach previously worked at NBC News and MSNBC.
The podcast premieres Dec. 5.
