Omari Hardwick, Peter Stebbings and Matthew Nable have joined the ensemble cast of Spike TV’s two-hour backdoor pilot “SIS.”
The casting lifts the cast-contingency on the project, which Sony Pictures Tele¬vision is co-producing with Neal Moritz’s Original Films.
“SIS,” which was written by John Herzfeld, centers on an elite, secretive police squad — SIS, or Special Investigation Squad — that stalks the worst of the worst in Los Angeles, waiting to catch criminals in the act.
Hardwick, Stebbings and Nable will play members of the squad: Hardwick is Donovan Rivers, Stebbings is Billy Beckett and Nable is Melville Atkinson.
Herzfeld also will direct the pilot and executive produce with Moritz and Vivian Cannon.
Stebbings’ credits include Showtime’s “Jeremiah” and the Canadian series “Across the River to Motor City.” He is repped by the Gary Goddard Agency.
Hardwick recently wrapped Spike Lee’s “Miracle at St. Anna” and next appears in the feature “Linewatch.” His other credits include the films “The Guardian” and “Gridiron Gang.” He is repped by Michael Greene & Associates Talent Agency and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Newcomer Nable, who hails from Australia, wrote and appeared in the film “The Last Winter.”
