TV Guide Network has renewed its unscripted series “Making News” for a second season, ordering 13 new episodes.
“Making News: Savannah Style” will go behind the scenes of local ABC affiliate WJCL-TV and local Fox affiliate WTGS-TV, both of which were purchased by New Vision Television in September, as they try to move beyond a scandal and low ratings. Season 2 is set to begin filming in Savannah, Ga., in December for a June 2 debut.
The first season, “Making News: Texas Style,” was TV Guide’s highest-rated original series this summer. The show is executive produced by Nick Davis.
