LONDON — Joshua Oppenheimer’s Berlin prize winning documentary The Act of Killing will wing its way to British theaters after Dogwoof inked a deal for all U.K. rights.
The deal was brokered by Oli Harbottle of Dogwoof with Philippa Kowarsky of Cinephil.
Dogwoof has penciled in a summer rollout for the feature which details the story of the brutal Indonesian paramilitary group.
Named the Pancasila Youth, the group participated in the murder and torture of more than one million ethnic Chinese, intellectuals and alleged Communists.
