Spanish-language media giant Univision Communications said Tuesday that CFO and senior executive vp Andy Hobson has resigned.
The company didn’t immediately cite a reason but said it would conduct a comprehensive search for a new CFO. Peter H. Lori, executive vp finance and chief accounting officer at Univision, will serve as interim CFO. Hobson will assist him and the company during a transition period.

Hobson, 53, recently said that the Spanish media powerhouse was likely to go public via an IPO over the next 12 to 18 months.
“We thank Andy for his numerous contributions to the company over many years,” said Randy Falco, president and CEO of Univision Communications. “I am pleased that we have a first-class financial team in place, and I am confident Univision is in a strong position, financially and operationally, and has a great future ahead.”

Lori, 49, joined Univision in 2005. Before that, he served as an audit partner at accounting firm KPMG from 2002 until 2005. Lori began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1987, where he worked for 15 years and became an audit partner in 1999.
