UTA has signed Brooklynn Prince, the 7-year-old breakout star of A24’s The Florida Project.
In the Sean Baker-directed drama, which also stars Willem Dafoe, the Orlando native plays Moonee, the child of a young single mother living in a budget motel near Walt Disney World, where she courts mischief with her ragtag group of friends.
Since the film’s Cannes debut, Prince has been singled out for her performance with some speculating the young actress could be an awards contender.
A24 first released The Florida Project on a very limited basis on Oct. 6. It has earned $2.2 million at the domestic box office.
Prince is also repped by Thirty Three Management and Hansen Jacobson.
