ROME — Paul Verhoeven, the 69-year-old Dutch director behind “RoboCop” and “Basic Instinct,” will be awarded the Capri Cult Award, an offbeat career achievement award at the 12th annual Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival.
The award will be presented by Lina Wertmuller, the first woman ever nominated for a best director Oscar.
The Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival runs Dec. 27-Jan. 2.
