WMA’s television literary and packaging agent Jeff Wise has left the agency after six years to launch his own management company, Insight Management.
Several of his WMA clients are joining him at the new company, including David S. Rosenthal (“Limelight”), Daniel Cerone (“Dexter”), Jessica Queller (“Gossip Girl”), Linda Gase (“Standoff”), Steve Holland (“Rules of Engagement”) and Tim Edwards (“The Game”).
“As artists’ interests become more diverse — whether it’s movie writers creating and running television shows or television writers writing books or utilizing the Internet — they require more and more from their representation,” said Wise, who plans to manage his lit clients and occasionally produce. “I felt I could best serve my clients by spending more time on less people than from within a traditional agency structure.”
After starting his career in advertising and publishing, Wise landed his first entertainment job at Scott Schwartz’s Vision Art Management, where he was an agent. He later joined the Major Clients Agency. He left it shortly after it became Genesis to go to WMA.
