Motion picture literary agent Mike Esola has moved from WME to UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Esola’s clients at WME included directors David Robert Mitchell, Scott Waugh, Bryan Buckley, Dowdie Bros., Javier Gutierrez, Clay Kaytis, Tony Leondis, Mark Raso, Dave Rosenthal, Oren Peli and Jamie Travis. He also represented writers Kurt Johnstad, Jon Herman, Paula Pell, TS Nowlin, Chad St. John, Cory Goodman, Michael McCullers, Alan Yang, Nick Weiss, Fybel & Rinaldi, Shaka King, Barrer & Ferrari, Susser & Robichaux, Deutschman & Pagan, Seth Owen and Rebecca Drysdale.
“Mike brings a great track record of discovering both important voices and material, and he’s a great addition to our team,” UTA managing director and motion picture lit head David Kramer said of Esola, whose career began in the William Morris mailroom in 2002.
