Less than one week after Betty White premiered her hidden-camera reality series, Off Their Rockers, on NBC, the actress has jumped on the Twitter bandwagon.
The 90-year-old White has only sent out two messages since joining Tuesday, writing to her nearly 15,000 followers: “Hello Twitter! And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me.”
White, who also stars on TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland followed up with a tweet touting her NBC series, joking, “I’m new at this… ;)” and attaching a link to a video preview.
Off Their Rockers first debuted on NBC back in January following a televised 90th birthday celebration for White that drew more than 12 million viewers. Its official bow on April 4, however, averaged 7.4 million viewers.
In addition to Off Their Rockers and Cleveland, White has been keeping busy as of late, most recently lending her voice to this year’s Universal film Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.
