Lionsgate has pacted with Facebook on the reality series You Kiddin‘ Me, a 10-episode comedy prank show executive produced by Kim Kardashian.
The studio will produce the series inspired by Kardashian family antics, where the kids are in charge and celebrities must do everything their own children say. The format will see members of the Facebook community chosen to prank their favorite celebrities.
The Kardashian-inspired series is part of Facebook’s push to offer more television-quality projects via its Watch video platform. The executive producer credits on You Kiddin‘ Me are also shared by Jennifer O’Connell, Brian Tannenbaum, Peter M. Cohen and Melissa Stokes.
The series will be available via mobile, desktop and Facebook’s TV apps. “I know from firsthand experience that children are wise beyond their years and can come up with the craziest things, so imagine how funny it will be to see them make all the decisions,” said Kardashian in a statement.
The partnership was negotiated by Lance Klein of WME and Brian Tannenbaum, senior vp of creative & business affairs, alternative programming for Lionsgate.
