The Streamy Awards has found its hosts.
YouTube stars Grace Helbig and Tyler Oakley will emcee the online video award show live from the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Helbig makes comedy videos on YouTube channel It’sGrace, which has more than 2.6 million subscribers, and is the host of E! talk show The Grace Helbig Show. This marks her second year as host. Last year, she was joined on stage by friend and fellow YouTube star Hannah Hart.
Oakley, an LGBT activist and YouTube vlogger with 7.4 million subscribers, will make his Streamys hosting debut this year after a busy year that included a national tour and work on Binge, his forthcoming collection of essays due out in October.
Helbig and Oakley, who were both named among THR‘s list of Top 25 Digital Stars, are nominated for Streamy Awards this year and are even competing against each other in the first-person category.
“It’s amazing to be back hosting the Streamy Awards for the second year in a row,” said Helbig, with Oakley adding, “I’m so excited to be co-hosting this year’s Streamy Awards alongside my buddy Grace. I’m so proud to be a part of such a wonderful night celebrating the talents and accomplishments of online creators and #TeamInternet as a whole.”
In its fifth year the Streamy Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter, has teamed up with VH1 to broadcast the show on television for the first time. The Streamy Awards will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT on VH1 and will also stream live online.
