Jeremy Renner is the latest Hollywood star to jump into the app game.
The actor launched a free mobile app powered by escapex that gives him the ability to interact directly with fans. Renner — best known for his work in such films as the Avengers franchise, Hurt Locker, The Bourne Legacy and the recent Arrival — tipped off his social media community to news of the app through a series of Facebook messages.
He teased the announcement as part of a fan experience that will see one winner fly to the Calgary Expo in April and enjoy some one-on-one time with Renner.
The new app serves as a platform that will allow Renner direct access to his fan base, but it won’t just be a one-way street as it is expected that the actor will offer exclusive clips, photographs, original music, contests, behind-the-scenes live streams and more.
“I’m always looking for new ways to connect directly with my fans all over the world in our own shared environment,” he said in a statement about the launch. “The escapex platform makes it possible for me to deliver exclusive content and the latest news to my fans all from my mobile phone at any time of day.”
Joe Cuello, general manager of escapex, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Jeremy to help him expand his already deep relationship with his millions of fans all over the world.”
