Lorne Michaels‘ Broadway Video has tapped two Saturday Night Live alums to help build out a new digital studio focused on Latino audiences.
Horatio Sanz and Fred Armisen will work with emerging talent to develop short-form comedy content for Mas Mejor, which will launch in January next year. Among the people who will incubate projects for the studio are Viner David Lopez and stand-up comic Gina Brillon. Mas Mejor will also work with comedy troupe Room 28 and source talent with the help of Adriana Bello‘s What A Bear production studio and Lemon Films’ Bill and Fernando Rovzar.
Programming will include weekly short-form comedy series, topic videos and editorial content presented in a mix of Spanish and English. Broadway Video is partnering with NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises to distribute the content and develop sponsorship opportunities.
