Machinima CEO Chad Gutstein has rounded out his C-suite hires with the appointment of Marc Verville to the role of CFO.
Prior to joining the YouTube network and digital programming service, Verville spent nine years at Warner Bros. Most recently, he was vp finance and business analysis in the Home Entertainment group, where he managed strategic and tactical business analysis supporting the packaged-to-digital transition and new global business ventures. Prior to Warner Bros. he served as a senior vp at Gemstar-TV Guide International. He also spent 11 years at Disney, the last five as CFO of Walt Disney Television International.
At Machinima, Verville will report to Gutstein and will be responsible for growing the firm’s business through strategic business opportunities.
“As Machinima enters its next phase of growth, we sought a strategic CFO with a deep understanding of global content and distribution models,” said Gutstein. “Marc brings traditional and digital content and distribution expertise, strategy and business development acumen, and experience scaling media and entertainment companies with a global reach.”
The appointment comes as part of a hiring spree since Gutstein took over as CEO last year. Machinima also recently raised an additional $25 million in a round led by Warner Bros.
