Facebook hosted its first public Q&A on Thursday, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to the stage to respond to users’ burning questions about, among other things, the accuracy of the movie The Social Network and why he wears the same gray T-shirt every day.
When asked how accurate the David Fincher-directed movie starring Jesse Eisenberg was when compared to his life, Zuckerberg said he felt Hollywood took liberties with the story about how — and why — he created Facebook.
“The reality is that writing code and building a product and then building a company actually is not a glamorous enough thing to make a movie about. … If they were really making a movie [of my life], it would have been of me sitting at a computer, coding for two hours straight, which probably would have not been that good of a movie,” he said.

He said the studio went out of its way to get some interesting details correct, such as the design of the office, but it missed his reasons for making the site.
“They just kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found kind of hurtful,” he said.
Zuckerberg was particularly miffed by the implication that he created Facebook “to attract girls,” when he was already dating his wife then.

When asked why he wears the same gray T-shirt every day, Zuckerberg first made it clear that he owns more than one.
“I really want to clear my life to make it so I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community. … I feel like I’m not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous about my life.”
