New Movies, TV on iTunes in October: ‘Inside Out,’ ‘Trainwreck,’ ‘AHS: Hotel’ Free Download

Summer movies like Inside Out, Trainwreck, Southpaw, Tomorrowland and Vacation are just some of the noteworthy titles that will be available for download on iTunes this month. Starting Oct. 20 Apple’s online store will also offer an extended edition of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and a bundle of all of the Hobbit films.

Several star-studded indies will also be available to rent on iTunes either the same day or shortly after they hit theaters, including Experimenter, about Stanley Milgram‘s (Peter Sarsgaard) 1961 “obedience study”; Olivia Wilde starrer Meadowland; and climate-change doc This Changes Everything, which is an iTunes exclusive.

As the fall TV premieres continue, iTunes is offering free downloads of the first episodes of new seasons of several shows including Code Black, Dr. Ken, American Horror Story: Hotel, Billy on the Street, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Fargo.
