WhoSay is putting publishing in the hands of its celebrity users with a slate of new distribution partnerships.
Beginning today, celebrities can post their photos, videos and messages directly to The Huffington Post and magazine app Flipboard. The company has also added distribution on messaging app Tango, which has more than 200 million downloads and has set itself apart from other free call-and-texts apps through its premium content channels that broadcast texts, videos and photos to users.
WhoSay, which allows its more than 1,600 celebrity clients to publish content across social platforms, teamed up with People.com for the first of these distribution deals in March. There is now a dedicated page, dubbed Celebrities Unfiltered, on the People website where a stream of celebrity-generated content is published.
“Our celebrity users’ content is increasingly being perceived as valuable, unique and premium,” says WhoSay CEO Steve Ellis. “Our clients should be able to reach their fans anywhere and everywhere with their content.”
Celebrities on WhoSay are now able to publish directly to the Huffington Post Celebrity section, the Celebs Unfiltered magazine on Flipboard, and premium content channels on Tango. Ellis says WhoSay’s publishing partners, who retain editorial control over the content and get a cut of advertising revenue, are hungry for authentic, real-time celebrity content.

New York-based WhoSay was co-founded in 2010 by Ellis and Creative Artists Agency. The company is backed by Amazon, Greylock, Comcast Ventures, Tencent and High Peaks Ventures.
