TORONTO – Hot on the heels of his shock resignation from YouTube earlier this month, Bing Chen on Monday will headline a panel on content creators for the Google-owned video-streaming service at the Stream Market in Santa Monica.
Chen left YouTube as the high-profile global creator development and management lead, and could reveal details on an unnamed stealth startup he is joining at the two-day conference for digital content creators organized by Toronto-based Brunico Communications.
Also appearing with Chen on the morning panel are Youtube content creators Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Tyler Ward and Meg DeAngelis.
The Stream Market also plans a panel on digital divisions of major studios and production houses, to include Will Keenan, president of Endemol Beyond USA; Gayle Gilman, executive vp, digital content at FremantleMedia North America; Robert Hayes, executive vp, digital media, NBC Entertainment; and Jim Packer, president of worldwide TV distribution and digital at Lionsgate Entertainment.
The Stream Market is set to run June 2-3 at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
