Two days after announcing a spring tour and a new single, John Mayer has confirmed that his fifth studio effort, Born and Raised, will be released on May 22 through Columbia Records, and has released the album's official track list.

The follow-up to 2009's Battle Studies was produced by Mayer and Don Was, who has helmed albums by the Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt, among others. David Crosby and Graham Nash will provide vocals on the title track, which receives a reprise at the end of the album.

Meanwhile, the album's first single, "Shadow Days," will hit iTunes on March 6. Earlier this week, Mayer posted a 60-second snippet of the song on his Tumblr.

Born and Raised will be released two weeks after Mayer wraps up an 18-date U.S. trek, his first tour in two years. The run kicks off on April 9 in Bloomington, Ind.
