Mariah Carey Teases New Single 'Triumphant'

The pop diva's new track drops next month featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill.

Mariah Carey is releasing her latest single, called "Triumphant" (Get 'Em)" early next month.

The pop diva -- and prospective American Idol judge, if reports are to be believed -- announced the news Saturday via Twitter, the choice social-media vehicle for celebrity promotion, in 140 characters or less.

"I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it," she tweeted. "When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics #WIN."

According to Carey, she's featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill on the song. The website Celebuzz, meanwhile, reports that the Grammy winner co-wrote and co-produced "Triumphant" along with Jermaine Dupri and Brian Michael Cox, who also collaborated on Carey's past singles "Shake It Off" and "Don't Forget About Us."

This would be the first single from her forthcoming album; Carey's most recent records are 2009's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and 2010's Merry Christmas II, which spawned a remix of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" co-starring Carey and Justin Bieber.

Carey's "Triumphant" tease comes amid unconfirmed reports she's set to join the judges' panel on American Idol following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
