Nelly Furtado's New Single 'Big Hoops' Hits the Web (Audio)

The new song is off her upcoming album, "The Spirit Indestructible," slated for a June release date.

Trip hop-leaning Canadian pop singer, Nelly Furtado, is prepping the release of her first English-language album since 2006, titled The Spirit Indestructible, and she's teased its first single, “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)” for weeks. Now, the song has hit the web.

“Big Hoops” is produced by Grammy-winning producer, songwriter and musician Rodney Jerkins AKA Darkchild. He has worked with several high profile artists including Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson, Aaliyah and Whitney Houston.

Furtado is currently working on the video for “Big Hoops,” a possible summer jam with its hip hop beats and lyrics describing the swag and empowerment she gets from her hoop earrings. Hey, it works for J-Lo.
