Mariah Carey "Love Above All" Event - P 2014

It appears that Mariah Carey's tour can only get better from here.

The singing star kicked off her Elusive Chanteuse tour in Tokyo on Saturday, and video footage has emerged of the singer having trouble with several of the songs. No U.S. tour dates have yet been announced.

In the footage, she is off-key at times, with her voice not able to reach the upper register she has been known for in the past. In one clip, a mic stand broke, causing her to stop midway through the song after she lost her place. TMZ had previously reported the story.

This has been a tough recent stretch for the performer. News broke in August that she and husband Nick Cannon, who have three-year-old twins, had split up.

Her latest studio album was released in May to the lowest sales numbers of her career for a non-holiday record.
