Marvel and Disney's next big push for a new franchise will be Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt as Peter Quill. He finds himself the target of a manhunt after discovering a mysterious orb. The adventurer has to team up with an oddball cast of characters, played by Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper (voicing Rocket Raccoon) and Vin Diesel (voicing tree-man Groot).

The heroes in a half-shell make their way back to the big screen in this reboot, which will feature motion-capture. Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) is directing the action pic, which stars Megan Fox as April O'Neil and Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard and Noel Fisher as Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo, respectively. There was a lot of initial chatter when producer Michael Bay mentioned that in this retelling the turtles would be alien in origin, but he later retracted that comment.

The adaptation of Gillian Flynn's dark novel will star Ben Affleck as a husband accused of killing his wife, played by Rosamund Pike. The popular novel was known for its multiple perspectives and mystery-filled storyline, but Flynn has stated that the film will not completely follow the book.
