    After being eliminated from the top three, Joshua Ledet stopped to talk to our American Idol correspondant Didi Benami.

    "I definitely made a lot of friends here, a whole new family. Um the closes relationships I've ever had in my entire life so this experience has done so much for me other than just singing", he added.

    "I wanted to make sure no one thought I was arguing because that wasn't my point at all. I feel strongly about who I am and how I feel, I don't want to hold back especially when they say I was holding back emotionally, I was like well I'll be honest, I don't want them to think that I'm never being real" she said about the judges criticism.

You don't want to go home when you are low. I just got a standing ovation, so I'll just go home."

    American Idol contestant Erika Van Pelt was the first finalist eliminated out of the top ten, but it didn't come as a big surprise to her. "You're in the bottom week after week, you know that America's never fully gotten behind you," she said. "It's frustrating and discouraging at the same time."

  • Shannon Magrane on Her Elimination from ‘American Idol’

    Eliminated season 11 contestant Shannon Magrane talks about being voted off and representing the teen contingent. It's something she had in common with interviewer and season 9 alum Katie Stevens, who was also under 18 when she competed. Of her future Magrane said, "This whole thing is just a learning experience and I'm not going to stop singing just because I got voted off American Idol. It's really upsetting but, I'm going to go home and I'm going to go sing tonight. I'll sing every single day, that's what I love to."

    The first finalist eliminated from season 11's top 13, Jeremy Rosado fought back tears while recounting Jennifer Lopez's support for his American Idol journey. "It's amazing … as the show wrapped up she came up to me and told me that she wanted to keep me. I guess she was fighting but what can you do, you have to have everybody on your side and I'm so grateful for her. Thank you, Jennifer, I love you."
