Sheen kicked off his LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth Defeat is Not an Option Opening Night tour at the Fox Theatre in Detroit Apr. 2.
Adult film star Kacey Jordan, who was with Sheen during his 36-hour binge that led to him eventually getting fired from CBS' Two and a Half Men, flew from Los Angeles to Detroit to attend his first show. As the audience began to boo Sheen off stage, she Tweeted: "People r leaving the show… Come on! Have faith in Charlie!"
Attendees at the Detroit show brought Tiger Blood, a limited time $4-a-pop energy drink inspired by one of Sheen's many catchphrases.
Sheen was booed several times during his show, including when he told the crowd: "I figured Detroit was a good place to tell some crack stories. Show of hands – who here has tried crack? Forget that. Who is holding crack right now? I don't do crack anymore, but I'm just saying."
On Apr. 3, Sheen continued his tour to Chicago, where he received a standing ovation and developed a better rapport with the audience. At one point, an audience member asked him to take off his shirt . So Sheen swapped his T-shirt for a collared shirt thrown at him by a man in the audience.
Sheen celebrated his success in Chicago at an after-party at Enclave night club. Despite the positive buzz from the show, he told E!: “There’s a couple of things here I’ve got to f—ing work out. I don’t know if I start the show alone and it turns into this [a Q&A format] or I just stay with this ‘cause it’s f—ing working and we’ll f—ing return to it if I don’t.” Read what else Sheen had to say about his performances.

His first engagements in Detroit and Chicago sold out on Ticketmaster.com in a record-breaking 18 minutes. Sources tell THR Sheen will pocket about $300,000 for the first two shows.
