For the third consecutive year, the blonde and the brunette were not short of jokes as Golden Globes co-hosts. The pair humorously pointed out nominee Joaquin Phoenix's presence at the show, which publicly made him swallow his words. The actor had told Interview magazine that he "never want[s] to have that experience again" in reference to the awards circuit. The duo has said that the 2015 program will be the final year that they host the awards show.

Big Eyes actress Amy Adams admitted that she was shocked that she won the best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy Golden Globe on Sunday night. The 12 years put into the indie coming-of-age feature paid off. Boyhood won best motion picture drama; Patricia Arquette nabbed a win for best supporting actress; and Richard Linklater won for best director. "When he came to us 12 years ago with this project, 14 years ago, we said yes, because the man has such humanity, he's so humble. He put so much of his own life into this movie. This is all Richard,” said IFC Films president Jonathan Sehring.
