“The last time I won was for Fresh Prince,” said best actress in a daytime series winner Tatyana Ali (with Phil Morris), who stars on CBS’ The Young & the Restless. “It means so much more now that I really understand how important it is.”
Ali was also nominated for outstanding actress in a comedy series for her role on Love That Girl! (Tv One); Vanessa Williams won that award for Desperate Housewives (ABC).
“There’s nothing like having nine strong black women to hold you up,” Tyler Perry (with Crystal Stewart) said of his For Colored Girls cast.
Supporting actor winner Samuel L. Jackson shared a laugh and a hug with nominee Kerry Washington.

“Anna is running around town meeting with the Hollywood elite and charming their pants off,” Chris Pratt said of his wife and co-star, Anna Faris, at Regal Cinemas L.A.Live for the comedy’s premiere.
“I wanted to show people I could dance,” Dan Fogler said of his role. “But I just looked like a spaz.”
“So many casts pretend they become best of friends,” said star Teresa Palmer (with Ryan Kavanaugh). “But we actually did!”
Writer-director Simon Wells chatted on the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre premiere with Joan Cusack, who said her role in the Disney animated film was different because “there are no sets, no lighting, and they don’t have to do close-ups.”
“I had to forget all the things that you learn as an adult,” Seth Green (with Mindy Sterling) said of his 9-year-old character.
