Oscar-winning actress and producer Jodie Foster has sold a gated estate for $8.3 million at its listing price, a come-down of $1.675 million from the original listing. The 1949-built house draws on an East Coast theme, with trellises covered in rose vines and red brick accents. Sitting on nearly one acre of land the house weighs in at 5,484 square feet and has seven bedrooms and eight baths. There is a two-bedroom guest house, pool and tennis court on site. The Real Estalker reported the listing in April 2011, before it got its hefty price chop from the original $9.975 million asking price.

Foster stars in the Roman Polanski-directed Carnage, with a 2013 thriller Elysium upcoming with costar Matt Damon. Jeffrey Hyland and David Kramer of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills were the brokers for the listing. Ginger Glass of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.

The 1962 contemporary is a single-story, 2,459-square-foot property with vaulted ceilings and walls of glass. It was recently remodeled. There are three bedrooms and three baths. The residence also features a combination media room and family room. The swimming pool out back is surrounded by a glass panel enclosure. Reitman bought the property for $1.171 million in 2003. It came on the market in April for $1.595 million.

Reitman bagged Oscar nominations for his directorial work on 2009’s Up in the Air and the critically-acclaimed Juno (2007). Brett Lawyer of Sotheby's International Realty had the listing. Ann Eysenring of Partners Trust in Beverly Hills represented the buyer, the identity of whom is not known at this time.

The couple was married five years. Woods is building his own new luxury pad on Florida’s Jupiter Island.

Elin Nordegren has bought and torn down a North Palm Beach estate she purchased a year ago for $12 million. The leveled house was a 1932-built, two-story traditional that weighed in at 17,000 square feet with eight bedrooms and eight baths. The house had an elevator, with a pool out back. The land, now a sizable blank canvas for Nordegren’s new digs, is situated in the Seminole Landing subdivision of North Palm Beach. John True, a Palm Beach area realtor, commented to the Palm Beach Post about the demolished house, saying "it was a beautiful place, incredible landscaping, fantastic ocean frontage." Development of Nordegren’s new residence is reportedly underway.

Brooklyn Blockshopper reports that NBCUniversal’s emerging platforms vp Matthew Chiavelli and Michelle Melton closed the deal on a Windsor Terrace residence in Brooklyn for $880,000. The 1,128-square-foot property was built in 1905.

Film writer Alec D. Sokolow and wife Leslie are listing their four-bedroom, 3.5-bath house for $3.1 million, according to Blockshopper Los Angeles. The listing states it is on a “double lot behind Main Street's restaurants, galleries & boutiques” in Santa Monica’s Ocean Park neighborhood. Built in 1910, the 2,822-square-foot house sits on a corner lot that measures 4,996 square feet. Inside, there are floor-to-ceiling windows and a wood-burning fireplace. A gourmet kitchen features Sub-Zero and Viking appliances.
