Busy with Disney's Marvel franchise, Smulders will again reprise the role of Maria Hill in Avengers sequel Age of Ultron. First up, however, is Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The film comes out just days after the final HIMYM airs.
After wrapping HIMYM, the actor flew to New York, where he's playing the late David Foster Wallace in The Spectacular Now director James Ponsoldt's film The End of the Tour. Segel's next film vehicle, Sex Tape, is already in the can. Also starring Cameron Diaz, the film is slated for a July 25 release.

Ever the renaissance man, Harris headed back to New York after HIMYM wrapped to star in the Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch — already in previews and opening April 22. His next films — Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West and David Fincher's Gone Girl — will both premiere in 2014.
Longtime writing partners Bays and Thomas aren't straying far — at least not yet. The HIMYM creators are co-writing the proposed How I Met Your Dad spinoff with Up All Night's Emily Spivey.
Perennially one of the most sought-after TV comedy directors, Fryman's pilot season plate is especially full with HIMYM wrapped early. She's directing CBS' Save the Date, David Caspe and Erik Sommers' Cuz-Bros and Tina Fey and Matt Hubbard's Cabot College. She'll also serve as EP on How I Met Your Dad, should it go to series, though she had to pull out of directing the pilot.
